A Stance
You were overwhelmed by a passion, the same one
That kindled me and let me glow,
Like the sun, giving off lights and warmth
That you once needed and now still want.
I am lying in bed, with my mind wide open,
Soaking myself in tears,
Thinking about our shared joy and sorrow
And what you were suffering from
Those days.
All of a sudden, I realize
The very passion is what I have always admired in you,
Something I lack;
But not something to be scared about.
I find myself, lying like a huge mountain range,
With powerful silence, fragile, maybe, humble yet full of vigor,
Which may be torn apart or destroyed,
With blood spurting from the cracks;
But can never be
Overshadowed.
